Introduction
Communication, Publication and Documentation Division
(CPDD) has been designated as a disciplinary unit in
the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) with
its major responsibility of communicating NARC research
activities and outputs to its manifold audience in the
country and abroad through different media, and facilitating
the researchers and planners with information to their
interests. Public relation, publication, library/documentation,
audio-visual production and exchange of information
materials with national and international agriculture
research and development centers are its major activities.

has been developed and being maintained CPDD. The CPDD
is facilitated with Library, Exhibit Room and Conference
Hall. International Agricultural databases on CD-ROM
and internet search service to researchers have been
provided in the Division. CPDD has different activities
classified in three namely, Communication, Publication,
and Library/Documentation. The major functions of the
division are:
- play the role of spokes-division with different
institutions for NARC and publish press release
- develop and maintained cordial relation with agricultural
extension agencies like Agricultural Information Communication
Center (AICC), Department of Agriculture (DOA), Department
of Livestock Services (DLS), I/NGOs and community
organisations for extension of research outputs.
- make arrangement and moderate for workshops, seminars,
conferences, talk programs
- maintain display the news cuttings and photographs
of important news/events related to agricultural sector
- participate in national and international conference,
seminar, meeting, workshop
- establish linkages with print and electronic media
of Nepal for publishing the NARC activities and achievements
- entertain national and international visitors and
introduce NARC activities and its achievements
- disseminate the research output to the extension
people and other clients
- coordinate and help in audio-visual production
for Nepal television
- coordinate and publish NARC proceedings, annual
reports, newsletter, booklet, pamphlet, brochure
- develop and maintain printed and electronic agricultural
library
- develop and maintain webpage www.narc.org.np
